The young Valtellinesi pass on the tradition
The flowerbed created by young volunteers from the “I dipartimenti di Bormio” Association conveys all the authenticity and folklore of the town (also known as “Magnifica Terra”). Some elements embellish the garden, such as a butterfly, some flowers and the well that made up the Easter celebrations.
The paschals are religious-themed sedan chairs, true handcrafted masterpieces that still today parade in the historic center of the town on Easter Sunday. In the heart of the flowerbed, the Bormio coat of arms, also part of a sedan chair. With the flowers on the ground they also created the symbol of the Olympics, as in February 2026 the Winter Olympic Games will also see Valtellina as the protagonist.
