The island of women
The Municipality of Grado has gone from being the ‘Island of the Sun’ to becoming the ‘Island of Women’ for the first time this year, dedicating a cultural initiative to talking about women in relation to our times. Meetings and dialogues with female writers and journalists, excursions to discover the area, exhibition routes and the first edition of the ‘L’isola delle Donne’ award.
The garden created in Città Giardino was also created thanks to the skill of a woman gardener, Eleonora, one of the few in Italian public gardens. Two large totems with outstretched wings plunge into a bed of white and pink Sunpatiens.
