Bees will rescue the world. We should never forget that our alimentary subsistence is linked to these small laborious social insects. There are many ways to celebrate them and the one chose from Innsbruck in 2019 was with the realization of sculptures and the creation of an environment of a garden of large, colourful daisies.
“We take responsibility” is the title of the Austrian city project chosen in 2019, aimed at protecting bees and beneficial insects. In Innsbruck, as in all of Austria, living spaces, parks, green areas, traffic island roundabouts are planned and developed by planting local flowers. The aim is to restore an adequate environment to allow more than 700 varieties of insects and wild bees to perform their function as pollinating insects.
A wide range of plants from nurseries in the Austrian municipality furnishes the area with insertions of Sunpatiens in lilac and orange tones amidst blooms of bright colors.
lso in this 49th edition of the event, Innsbruck has generously contributed to the restoration of the flowerbed by donating flowers and plants to Cervia Garden City, as a sign of friendship and esteem between the two cities.
Also in 2021 due to the health emergency, the set-up was restored by the Green Service of the Municipality of Cervia.
