The Menocchio Cultural Association‘s Diaboliko Garden also celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Republic and women’s suffrage. In the artists’ imagination, Eva Kant, Diabolik’s partner, embodies the first female vote.

Meanwhile, in another corner of the garden, the front page of Vittorioso, the historic children’s newspaper, reminds us that the Republic was born from the Resistance. It was way back in 1961 when Angela and Luciana Giussani founded the Astorina publishing house, beginning with the publication of comics featuring the iconic Diabolik character.
