The Feminine Universe of Tonino Guerra

Two events in the garden, celebrating the celebrated poet: the 200th anniversary of the artisan workshop and the 80th anniversary of the Republic.
In his celebrated collection of short stories “Arrivano le Donne,” the poet from Santarcangelo described the silent soul and strength of women. Riccardo and Matteo, the souls of the Pascucci workshop, which this year celebrates two centuries of activity, have painted Tonino’s women on canvas, women who keep Italy alive, with the Italian flag always at their side.

The printing technique at the Pascucci workshop in Gambettola has been the same for seven generations: wooden blocks, soaked in color, are placed on the fabric and struck with a mallet. Thus, the canvas is indelibly imprinted with motifs from the rich repertoire of Romagna tradition.
