The ancient art of printed canvases at Garden City
Since 1826 in Gambettola, there is an ancient craft workshop of printed cloths carrying on this tradition: the Pascucci workshop.
The printing technique has been the same for seven generations: wooden stencils, impregnated with colour, are placed on the fabric and struck with a mallet. Thus, little by little, tablecloths and curtains are imprinted with ornamental motifs from the rich heritage of Romagna tradition.
The sensitivity of Riccardo, Matteo and their collaborators made it possible to create a natural environment in this garden, where butterflies, bees, dragonflies and ladybirds printed on large canvases hover freely and colourfully. Another creative and artistic homage to this year’s theme.
