A Garden for Peace
The Office for Gardens, Cemeteries and Forests of the City of Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, would also like to make an appeal for peaceful coexistence and careful management of our planet.
And this is achieved with a ‘river’ of taller blue, yellow and white flowers running through the garden to represent life. The three colours chosen for the display are also present in the coat of arms of Cervia and Ukraine. The ‘river of life’ flows through a ‘landscape’ made of lower flowers in shades of pink, red and orange.
These three colours, together with the dry branches protruding from this landscape, symbolise the fragility of our planet Earth and recall the wars and conflicts taking place around the world. The overall design inspires calm and peacefulness, inviting people to stop and relax in a world where too many stimuli often affect people and their environment simultaneously.
