Urban Nightscape
The Union of Romagna Faentina proposes an artistic installation that combines the theme of the city in harmonious fusion with nature.
Right here in Milano Marittima, where the first Italian seaside skyscraper was built in 1956, the aim is to show how biodiversity represented by a miniature ‘wild green’, by a colony of insects inhabiting the ceramic skyscraper and by the watchful presence of nocturnal birds of prey perched on it. This is the only way for man and nature to coexist peacefully.
The luminous celestial vault that envelops and protects this urban micro-environment restores an accomplished expressiveness to the theme of urban beauty. The garden acquires an even more sentimental value because it was created a few days before the terrible flood that devastated many towns in the Union, starting with Faenza, its citizens, including many of our colleagues, to whom we are particularly close, due to the affection that has bound us together for over 20 years.
This garden was made possible thanks to the participation of local companies, in particular Porfiri for the scenographic lighting system, Garavini for ceramics, Silla and Sierb, and the collaboration between Unione della Romagna Faentina and the Emilia Romagna delegation of Public Gardens.
